1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the services of JB's Courier ("we", "us", "our", or the "Company"), you ("Sender", "Customer", or "User") agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and all applicable laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use our services.
These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and JB's Courier and apply to every shipment, pickup, delivery, and related service we provide.
2. Services Provided
JB's Courier is a courier and logistics service operating within Karachi, Pakistan. We provide:
- Next-day parcel delivery across Karachi
- Scheduled daily / weekly pickups for businesses
- Cash on Delivery (COD) collection and settlement
- Returns management (RTO — Return to Origin)
- Bulk shipping for businesses and e-commerce platforms
- Real-time parcel tracking and online dashboards
- API integration for e-commerce platforms
Service Area: Currently, our service area is limited to Karachi metropolitan and surrounding zones. We do not offer inter-city or nationwide shipping at this time.
3. User Responsibilities
By using our services, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete recipient details, including name, address, phone number, and any special delivery instructions.
- Properly pack each parcel in a manner suitable for the contents and the courier journey.
- Declare the true nature, value, and weight of the contents of each parcel.
- Not use our services to ship any item listed under "Prohibited Items" below.
- Make timely payment for any service charges, COD reverse fees, RTO charges, or other applicable fees.
- Comply with all applicable Pakistani laws, including customs, taxation, and trade regulations.
4. Prohibited Items
The following items are strictly prohibited from being shipped through JB's Courier. Sending any of these items will result in immediate confiscation, potential legal action, and termination of your account:
- Currency, coins, bullion, or negotiable instruments (cheques, bonds)
- Weapons, ammunition, explosives, or any military-grade equipment
- Illegal drugs, narcotics, or controlled substances
- Hazardous, flammable, toxic, radioactive, or corrosive materials
- Live animals, plants, or biological samples (without prior approval)
- Perishable food items (without proper packaging and prior approval)
- Counterfeit goods, pirated media, or unauthorized branded merchandise
- Pornographic, obscene, or anti-state materials
- Human remains, body parts, or medical waste
- Any item prohibited under the Pakistan Customs Act or other applicable law
JB's Courier reserves the right to inspect any parcel and refuse shipment of any item at our sole discretion.
5. Pickup & Delivery Timelines
We aim to deliver every parcel within Karachi using the following standard timelines:
- Standard next-day delivery: Within 24 hours of pickup (within Karachi main areas)
- Outer-zone areas: 24 - 48 hours (Gadap, Bin Qasim, and surrounding zones)
While we make every effort to meet these timelines, delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed. Delays caused by weather, traffic, strikes, force majeure, incorrect addresses, or unavailability of the recipient are beyond our control and shall not constitute a breach of these terms.
6. Cash on Delivery (COD) Terms
For COD shipments, the following terms apply:
- Maximum COD amount per parcel is PKR 100,000 unless a higher limit is approved in writing.
- The COD amount must match the amount declared at the time of booking.
- Riders will collect cash only — cheques, online transfers, or other forms of payment are not accepted unless arranged separately.
- If the recipient refuses to pay or is unavailable, the parcel will be marked as failed delivery and may be returned (RTO).
- A COD service fee is applied per parcel as per the current pricing schedule.
7. Settlement & Payment Terms
COD amounts collected on your behalf will be settled to your designated bank account as per the agreed settlement cycle, typically:
- Standard settlement: Within 7 working days of delivery
- Premium settlement: Within 2 working days (subject to additional fee)
- Weekly settlement: Every Friday for all deliveries completed in the prior week
Service charges, RTO fees, and any deductions will be subtracted from the COD amount before settlement. A detailed settlement report will be provided with each transfer.
8. Liability & Insurance
JB's Courier accepts limited liability for parcels we carry. Our maximum liability per parcel is the lesser of:
- The actual declared value of the contents at the time of booking, or
- PKR 5,000 per parcel (for non-insured shipments)
Customers may purchase additional insurance for high-value shipments at the time of booking. Without declared and insured value, claims for loss or damage will be settled at the standard maximum only.
JB's Courier is not liable for indirect, consequential, or business losses including but not limited to lost sales, reputation damage, or opportunity cost.
9. Lost or Damaged Parcels
In the unfortunate event a parcel is lost or damaged in transit:
- The customer must report the issue within 7 days of the scheduled delivery date.
- A claim form must be submitted along with proof of contents, value, and packaging.
- Investigations typically take 14 working days.
- Approved claims will be settled per the liability terms above.
Claims arising from improper packaging, prohibited items, or unverified declared value will be rejected.
10. Returns & RTO Policy
Parcels returned to origin (RTO) due to recipient refusal, unavailability, or incorrect address will incur a return shipping charge as per the current pricing schedule. RTO parcels will be returned to the sender within 7 working days of the failed delivery attempt.
If a sender does not accept the RTO parcel within 30 days, the parcel may be considered abandoned and JB's Courier reserves the right to dispose of it.
11. Pricing & Charges
Our pricing is based on parcel weight, dimensions, destination, and service type. The applicable rate at the time of booking is final. We reserve the right to update our pricing at any time, with revised rates applying to all bookings made after the change.
Additional charges may apply for:
- Oversized or overweight parcels
- Remote area surcharges
- Multiple delivery attempts
- Storage beyond standard hold periods
- Special handling (fragile, urgent, etc.)
12. Account Termination
JB's Courier reserves the right to suspend or terminate any user account, with or without prior notice, for:
- Repeated violation of these Terms
- Shipping prohibited items
- Non-payment of dues
- Fraudulent activity or misuse of services
- Any conduct that is harmful to our staff, riders, customers, or operations
13. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in the city of our head office.
Customers are encouraged to first attempt to resolve any disputes through our customer support team before pursuing legal action.
